"The Farrier's Soul" is a humorous allegory about a clever farrier who receives three magical gifts from Jesus: a chair, a bag, and a walnut tree that trap anyone who touches them. He uses these gifts to successfully trick and capture the Angel of Death and even a legion of demons, ensuring his own long life. However, he finally meets his match when he marries a woman who, in her housekeeping, destroys all his magical defenses, becoming the one force he cannot outwit and the ultimate cause of his demise.
