Jewish Fairy tales
Jewish narrative folklore has all the genres and motifs found in the folklore of other nations. Apparently, the fairy tale is not only eternal, but also international. In the same way as in other nations, Jewish tales include witches, devils, sorcerers, brownies and other evil spirits. In addition to traditional motifs, Jewish fairy tales are filled with direct borrowings from the folklore of surrounding peoples. No new and original fairy-tale characters are present in Jewish tales. The devils and witches there are standardly borrowed from the tales of other peoples, fools are as typical as others.
