"Minuet" is a short story by the French writer Guy de Maupassant. Jean Bridelle , fifty years old boy , returns to a small event which he witnessed . Young man, he studied law and went every morning to walk in the nursery of the Luxembourg Gardens ; quiet, he read a little and listened to the sounds of Paris . In the garden , he prides himself curiosity for an old man who , believing himself alone, dancing in the aisles of the garden. They become friends and the man tells him his life: he was dancing master at the Opéra de Paris under Louis XV ; he is married with Castris , a dancer who was loved by the king and this gallant century .
