Arch of Triumph

«Arch of Triumph» is a 1945 novel by Erich Maria Remarque about stateless refugees in Paris before World War II, written during his exile in the United States․ A German doctor and refugee living in Paris, dodging the everyday dangers of jail and deportation, manages to hang on, all the while searching for the Nazi who tortured him back in Germany.
