Genghis Khan
"Genghis Khan" is a novel by Russian writer Vasily Yan. The novel describes the conquest of the Khorezm Khanate by the Mongol Tatars, their invasion of Iran, the Caucasus and the southern Russian steppes, the Battle of Kalka in 1223. The central figure in the novel is Genghis Khan. V. Yang showed him as a cruel and perfidious commander, with a craving for power over the world. The author tells about the last years of existence of the powerful Khorezm Khanate at that time and about the preparation of Genghis Khan to the decisive capture of this Khanate.
