The Forsyte Saga

“The Forsyte Saga” is a series of three novels and two interludes published between 1906 and 1921 by the English author John Galsworthy, who won the Nobel Prize in Literature. The Saga records the lives of three generations of a moneyed middle-class English family at the turn of the century. Galsworthy's masterly narrates not only their fortunes but also the wider developments within society, particularly the changing position of women. This is the only critical edition of the work available, with Notes that explain contemporary artistic and literary allusions and define the slang of the time.
