Philip of Pokanoket

Indians are free from the restrictions and conventions of a civilized society, being more independent of prejudice beings. However, ruthless warfare and the extermination of the Indians led to the fact that many of the brave and noble hearts of the native Americans were broken and trampled into the dust. Such was the fate of Philip of Pokanoket, an Indian leader, a warrior whose name inspired terror in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
