Mozart's Journey to Prague
Eduard Mörike's short story "Mozart's Journey to Prague" was created for the centenary of Mozart. The plot of the work is very simple; one happy day in the life of Mozart. On his way to Prague for the opening of the opera “Don Giovanni", he accidentally ends up on the estate of Count von Schinzberg and spends the evening in the castle with his family, who adore the beauty of the famous composer's music.
A vivid and imaginative description of a day in the life of Mozart reflects both the humorous and the more fragile and pensive side of the Austrian genius.
