Published for the first time. The manuscript of the recording is kept in the FA; see A. Sakanyan's fund, manuscript collection “Fairy Tales of Stepanavan”. The tale was told by Matevos Sakanyan (68 years old), a resident of the village of Agarak, Stepanavan region, and a collective farm shepherd. It was written by A. M. Makanyan in 1958 in the same village.
