The collector left the following information about the teller: “Narrated on August 5, 1915, in the village of Odzun, by the same villager Tadevos Ter-Harutyunyan, a 63-year-old, somewhat literate elder․ He had served for 18 years as a bell ringer, after which he guided blind ashughs through villages to perform songs, while he himself told fairy tales. He is a very clever and sharp-witted man".
