Vrtanes Papazian is an Armenian prose writer, historian, literary critic, and translator. His works vividly portray the life of the Western Armenian community, as well as the difficult socio-political circumstances of the Armenian people and other national minorities, along with their struggles for national liberation. In the Tents of the Armenian Boshas, the author continues and further develops the events first depicted in his earlier work Santo.
