The work is devoted to the history of the Artsakh question and the struggle of the Armenians of Artsakh for self-determination, security, and reunification with Armenia. The author examines events from the collapse of the Russian Empire and the formation of the first Transcaucasian republics to the Soviet period and the renewed rise of the movement in 1988. At the center of the book is the idea of Artsakh’s strategic, historical, and cultural significance for the Armenian people.
