"The Adventure of the Crooked Man" is one of Arthur Conan Doyle's detective stories. Colonel Barclay's lifeless body was found in a pool of blood following a heated argument with his wife. His wife lay unconscious on the sofa in the same room. There was also a peculiar circumstance in the case: a look of mortal terror had distorted the Colonel's face.
